3 hours; 3 creditsHow African, African-American and Caribbean writers have received and employed some of the major ancient Greek and Roman texts, as well as classical mythology and Athenian views on democratic government. Explores the interpretation, rewriting, and reimagining of Greek and Roman life, literature and mythology by black writers. Starting Fall 2020 qualifies as an Inter-Cultural Competency (ICC) course for Pathways College Option purposes.
