3 hours; 3 creditsAcquisition of the language skills, terminology, and proceduresnecessary to function in one or more specialized areas where Russian is routinely used. Designed to familiarize students with commoninteractions within the professional environment and with problemsarising from cross-cultural misunderstandings. Intensive practice inspeaking and writing. Reading and discussion of authentic materialsrelated to the topic. Qualifies as a LOTE (Language Other Than English) course for Pathways College Option purposes.Prerequisite: Russian 11.12 or permission of the chairperson.
