3 hours; 3 creditsFundamental principles of nutrition as they relate to optimum health of the individual and the family. Social, economic,and educational implications. Evaluation of various mass media relating to the field. This course does not satisfy the department requirement for students majoring in foods and nutrition. (Not open to students who are enrolled in or who have completed Health and Nutrition Sciences 2210 [29].) Satisfies Pathways Flexible Core Scientific World requirement. Applicable to the 60-credit science and mathematics requirement for the B.S. degrees in biology, chemistry, computer and information science (including computational mathematics), earth and environmental sciences, mathematics, physics, psychology.
