3 hours; 3 creditsThis course introduces students to the history of ethics in psychology. Topics include what makes clients of psychologists, their families and their communities vulnerable; how individual and group reasoning, and our own cognitive biases and heuristics can help or hinder our ethical behavior; how organizational climate and socio-cultural contexts can affect our ethical decision making; neuroethics; and diversity, equity and inclusion considerations relevant to ethics in psychology. PHIL 3312 and PSYC 3020 are the same course.Prerequisite: Psychology 1000 or Philosophy 2101
