Elementary Japanese II

3 hours, 1 hour multimedia laboratory; 3 credits Second in a two-semester sequence. Expanded acquisition of phonetics and writing systems. Development of communicative skills and cultural awareness through extensive classroom interaction and a variety of multimedia materials. Designed to prepare students for Japanese 1030. (Not open to heritage speakers.)Qualifies as a LOTE (Language Other Than English) course for Pathways College Option purposes.Prerequisite: Japanese 1010 or permission of the chairperson.
